Join us for a delicious evening of food and wine fun, as we host our first annual Sommelier Challenge. Wednesday, June 25 is SOLD OUT but we’ve added a 2nd date - Monday, June 23 at 6:30pm!

Our corporate Sommelier, Lisa Ribaudo, will pair against Wine Specialist at Republic National Distribution Company, Cristian Perez in a ‘dueling dinner.’

ABOUT LISA

Lisa Ribaudo was introduced to wine by her Italian grandfather, Antonio Ribaudo. While Papa Tony made wine in the basement of his Detroit home, the Ribaudo siblings would be like glue to his side, enthusiastically crushing grapes with their feet. In actuality - they were creating quite a mess – but it was in this quaint Detroit wine cellar that Lisa‘s love of the vine was first cultivated.

It came as no surprise to the Ribaudo family when Lisa left a family business to enter the food and beverage industry. The year was 1990, when entrepreneur Joe Vicari opened his first Italian restaurant in Warren, Michigan. What originally began as a part time job for Lisa quickly blossomed as the Andiamo business grew into multiple locations across metro Detroit. Fast forward over 3- decades, Lisa remains with the Vicari group, in the role of Corporate Sommelier.

ABOUT CRISTIAN

Cristian is a Wine Specialist with Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC), bringing a deep passion for hospitality and a strong culinary background to the world of wine. A 2017 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Cristian spent his weekends staging in some of New York City’s most renowned kitchens, including Michelin-starred restaurants Eleven Madison Park, Jungsik, Atera, and Gramercy Tavern. He went on to spend seven years at the Country Club of Detroit, where he trained under Certified Master Chef Brian Beland and worked his way up to Dining Room Manager. Cristian’s well-rounded experience and love for wine make him a dynamic and engaging co-host for this special event.
